Most of these pics were taken in the 1980s, although a few shots were taken in the early 1990s, and one of them was taken of a grounded plane in 2001. One pic even shows an Iraqi Airways aircraft at New York JFK. There's a story that goes with the FedEx plane, if you want to read that too.
Last year 1,944 New Yorkers saw something and said something.
I just can't believe it.
Some people here seem not to know
the difference between Airlines and Air Force?
Who doesn't already know that the US
and the UK are steadily flying over Iraq
in the so-called no-fly zone(s) and perhaps
even beyond? However, make no mistake
about it, those no-fly-zones were NOT endorsed by the UN.
yes there are flights between Damascus and Baghdad operated by private business men. They are using an old 707 of Gulf Falcon in all white livery. On some days when there is demand they utilize a 747SP (also from Gulf Falcon)
In addition there is a 733 chartered from Malev also operated on this route.
Currently there are about 8/9 total weekly roundtrips and mostly booked out.
