Interesting UAL WEB Site

Sun Mar 02, 2003 4:52 pm

I just flew in from LAS today, I saw this web site address in the back of the Hemisphere magazine. It is for the NASA (ex-UAL) 747-SP, Sofia.

Boy the SP's are an ugly model of the 747. Pretty cool that it is still flying after all these years. Are there any 747-sp's still in revenue or freight service?

That SP is N145UA - the only SP to be painted in new colors.
It won't fly til next year.UA provides crews and maintenance.
No SP's were used as freighters
