If they really keep up the good service, the concessions, and try a little harder, UAL will be around long after 19 March, 2003. They can do it. Renegotiate those "high" leases, drop a few more inefficient routes and aircraft, they will not need to split the company into an LCC. They will be a better "full service LCC." (Not that AA
didn't already announce that today. AA
is now a LCC carrier, see what marketing can do (press announcement) stock up over 13% today, the problems are over, load factors up. It is all in the marketing.)
