Consumer Court Orders LH

a consumer court in the Indian state of West Bengal has ordered German carrier Lufthansa to pay Rs.5 lakh each to a group of passengers who had filed a complaint of negligence againt LH.

The passengers had found glass pieces in their food packets on a flight from AMS to FRA.

Commnet:Glass pieces in food? Guess we have to be alittle more careful the next time around!

That wouldn't be LH's fault, it would be whomever catered for them.

That wouldn't be LH's fault, it would be whomever catered for them.

LH`s catering supplier is LSG Sky Chefs, a subsidiary of Lufthansa.

I'm aware of that, but they should go after SkyChefs, not Lufthansa itself. If you had a poor flight on Horizon Air, you wouldn't piss up a wall at AS, you'd go after Horizon.

By the way i love the Indian expressions for numbers. laks, Cror.. but maybe it's more usefuall to indicate in numerbs everyone can understand. (Shah Jehan ne Kutab minar...  Wink/being sarcastic

One important thing: even if it's the Catering company behind the ngeligence, the passnger affected has a contract (a ticket is a contract between the pax and the airline!) with Lufthansa, so they have to face it. What they do with their caterer is a different thing. Same procedure applies with let's say damaged luggage mainly caused by the airport operators.
