America West Announces New Nonstop Service Between Its Phoenix Hub and Cancun, Mexico


Hometown Airline to Provide the Only Daily Nonstop Service Between Phoenix and Cancun - The Airline's 11th Destination in Mexico

PHOENIX, March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA), the nation's second largest low-fare carrier, announced today that it will initiate new daily, nonstop service between its Phoenix hub and Cancun, Mexico, on June 1, 2003. Customers in Phoenix and 12 other cities in the western U.S. will be able to take advantage of this new service to enjoy the powdery sand beaches, warm blue water, sensational shopping, sport fishing, snorkeling and diving available in this beautiful Caribbean city.

It seems in the last year there have been announcements for service to Cancun.

Alaska
America West
I believe UAL has or is starting service to Cancun?
Isn't NWA flying to Cancun shortly?

Yes, NWA is already operate nonstop from DTW-CUN flight and no, UAL doesn't have used flying to Mexico before either. This is currently some of the airlines flies to CUN is: AA, AS, F9, CO, DL, NW, US, TZ. Well, this is it for your helps. Thanks!

11 destinations in Mexico is pretty impressive. Can anyone provide the flight days and equipment they use for each route? Also, do they serve food on their international flights, or just peanuts like they do on their domestic services?
