Kuwait Airways, In Case Of War?

Thu Mar 13, 2003 10:20 pm

I know that this has already been discussed, but I would be interested to know if someone has any new information on KU's operations in case of war in Iraq. I'am scheduled to fly KU via KWI enf of March and really wonder what's going to happen, I guess they will base their ops elsewhere....but where?

Kuwait Airways will be cutting a lot of routes according to a report from the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) for details see: http://www.aviationgulf.com/forum/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=283;start=0;boardseen=1

Gulf Air, Qatar Airways and Emirates have all said that they will continue to operate when the war breaks out. EK's OPS will remain in DXB but GF said that they will move BAH ops to AUH and MCT if it is necessary and QR will be hubbing in SHJ if something happens to Qatari Airspace. Though I don't have much info on KU, in the event of KU shutting down expect them to resume OPS within very quickly.
