Coventry Classic Airshow 31/5-1/6

Tue Mar 18, 2003 5:55 am

Hello everybody plane crazy.

On May 31 and June 1 there is an airshow in (at?) Coventry in England.
Can anyone give a tip on what's the best way to get there if your from
abroad. I mean like for instance
- flying to London, book a hotel in London and go by train
- flying to London, book a hotel in London and rent a car
- flying to Birmingham, book a hotel in Birmingham and go by bus/rail
- flying to Birmingham, take the bus to Coventry and book a hotel there
- etc

What would be the best(=cheapiest) solution if you want to attend both
days at the airshow?

If you are interested, go to http://www.classicairshow.co.uk

It looks like its going to be a very good display this year at Coventry, just hope the Shackelton gets airborne  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Coventry is only 10 miles or so from Birmingham airport which has many hotels and good bus links with Coventry City/airport.

The cheapest option would be to book into a bed and breakfast either in Birmingham or Coventry.

Thankyou EGBB. So if I am travelling from Stockholm/Sweden the best is to fly
to Birmingham then I guess.
Cheers, Janne.
