Royal Jordan's Operation Into Baghdad

Wed Mar 19, 2003 11:23 pm

I just have seen on Yahoo that Royal Jordan had four weekly operations from Amman to Baghdad approved by the United Nations. Those flights are not loaded in the CRS and anyway, I would guess they are only for Journalists, Diplomats etc. - Flights will stop as per 20 March 2003. Which aircraft has been used? Did they fly from AMM turnaround to BGW?

I also would like to refer to following two discussions:

Hello

I have seen a Boeing 727 with large UN titles on it on approach into Saddam International Airport yesterday in a TV report.

Hope this helps,

Hi RJ100, well, there is another topic around regarding this UN 727. I don't know if it has something to do with those RJ operations. RJ doesn't operate 727, isn't it?

Hi again

I just noticed the topic on the UN 727. Must be a different operation than the RJ flights.
Yes, as far as I know RJ doesn't operate 727s...

Any info about Royal Jordan flights due to the war?
Greek TV reported that the airline is intending to ground 15 a/c in Athens International Airport.
