The Ansett Name

Mon Mar 31, 2003 6:57 pm

I was just thinking it would be nice to have a 2nd full service airline here in Australia. If another carrier comes along one day i was thinking maybe it could be called Ansett again and perhaps operate an all A320 fleet. I was wondering if people would fly Ansett once again if the name reappeared(kinda like what PanAm has done in the USA) or would it be better to name it something different alltogether?

Could happen but as Ansett is a Surname of the founder, seems pointless to me.

Still anything is Possible

Not that it will happen (he says resigned to flying the white rat) but doesn't it depend on the new startup buying the name from the Administrators? Which begs the question "Has the Name been sold?"?
