Gulf Air Upgrades Dubai Facilities

Tue Apr 01, 2003 9:34 pm

Customers flying Gulf Air from Dubai International Airport can now prepare for their journey in absolute luxury following the re-opening of the airline’s dedicated lounge.

Situated next to gate 24 in the Sheikh Rashid Terminal, the lounge offers customers 265 square meters of space away from the hustle and bustle, providing a pleasant ambience for either meetings with business partners, time for relaxation, or peace and quiet to catch up on work. Gulf Air is currently in talks with Dubai Civil Aviation to ensure that all GF departures are from the gates located close to the lounge.

”Being able to offer an enhanced dedicated lounge in Dubai is a vast service improvement especially for our premium passengers and Silver and Gold Falcon Frequent Flyers. In conjunction with an excellent on-board product provided on our long haul routes via Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Muscat, we are confident that this combination will allow us to serve the needs of our First and Business Class customers as well as Business Travellers”, commented Gulf Air’s A K Nizar – Manager Dubai.

Assistant Airport Manager Fatma Kazim further stated: ”The dedicated lounge in Dubai is part of Gulf Air’s ongoing commitment ‘to go the extra mile for customers’ throughout our Middle East network.”

The entire area has been re-designed with peace and quiet in mind, providing over 60 armchairs for relaxation before the flight. A wide variety of refreshments, coffee, tea and small snacks, as well as more extensive meals are available from the ”Food Bar”.
