I'm not sure how serious it can be. USAirways.com shows that flight is scheduled to leave DEN. It was scheduled to leave at 4pm, but it is delayed.

When electrical smoke is smelled in the cabin, it's usally from a malfunctioning coffeemaker or fluorescent light ballast. The components involved are pretty minor, but of course, you make the precautionary landing first and them figure out the cause once you're on the ground.

Yet, most media outlets foam at the mouth when they hear about one of these things....
