I had an interesting chat with Bearskin's regional manager for Southwestern Ontario a few weeks ago and discussed the carrier's longterm goals. Without disclosing specifics of their plans, I think it can be safely said that Bearskin has ambitious plans to create their own niche market. The bread and butter flying will always be the tundra trips to remote outposts, but a strong market does exist for niche flying such as their highly successful YKZ
route. The airline is also considering the possibility of graduating to a higher equipment guage in the near to mid-term future.
