I always thought that 707's had something that projected forward from the top of the tail. It was rather needlelike. Anyway, I dont see it in this picture. Does anyone know what that object was used for?

I had the same thought about it being in Airplane!

According to AirNikon (same photographer), N6723 was the one from Airplane!

This photo indicates the lack of a dorsal HF antenna on TWA planes had been around for at least ten years by the time of this photo.

Actually,

This is the famous "Airplane!" airplane!!

Airnikon had it wrong, I think...

I was watching the movie today and I noticed it was nose number 6721. I'll look again.
