Are The 340s That Boeing Have Cheaper To Lease?

Mon Apr 14, 2003 3:17 am

Yes the topic says it all. The AIrbus 340 that Boeing received from SIA, are cheaper to lease compared to the ILFC, and other leasing companies who happen to have the 340.

While I don't think anyone here has firm financial figures, I think that is quite safe to presume.

AirlineLover... where've ya been? The "SQ-F.U." to Airbus was one of the most classic moments in aviation history  Big grin

With Boeing continually upping the ante on the 777NGs (in particular, the 772LR)... I wouldnt be surprised to see it happen again from SQ and or EK at all.

Yeah, but their customers (e.g., Cathay) are calling their bluff on the matter, as well.
