First Flight Air St. Maarten Cancelled

Thu Apr 17, 2003 10:42 pm

As the permits for both Amsterdam en St. Maarten are not ok the first flight next Sunday of this new airline has been cancelled. Over 280 people booked a ticket for this flight.
Mud fighting has already started. General manager Air St. Maarten is blaming the permit issuing organization in Holland while Amsterdam Schiphol Airport informed that slots had been requested but as they were not acceptable for Air St. Maarten/EAL, EAL decided to cancel the request for the slots.
Air St. Maarten is also blamed for the fact that they already started selling tickets without having the proper permits and slots.

To be continued?

Why is this not a surprise????? I think the general consensus on
A.net is that this airline will never make a single flight and is basically
a scam!!!!!!!
Cargo doesn't whine, moan, or complain
