Qantas Share Price Plunged After Virgin's News!

The Qantas share price plunged 72 cents and finished at $4.15. The day's low was $4.10 and high's of $4.475. The last sale price on Friday was $4.87.

So what happened? Well, Richard Branson's news that he would like to start a low-cost airline in Australia was not taken too light heartedly. A total of 22,723,084 million shares were traded. This is a major single plunge ever for Qantas shares and the market is nervous about this news!
