Russian Manual Site? Anybody?

Sat Apr 26, 2003 7:08 pm

Anybody know where there is a good reference site, for english versions of manuals for the TU-204 or the An-72?

Tried looking at the Essco site but they where lacking in non-western aircraft.

AFAIK there are no English An-72 manuals. There is no need for them.

The English Tu-204 manuals are under "construction" at the moment. I can get a Russian manual for the Tu-204-100, but these will cost at least US$900-$1000. Note: Aviaexport sells these manuals for at least US$2000-$2,500. 2 large volumes. Titled : Руководство по лётной эксплуатации Ту-204

The only Russian aircraft I have seen an online manual for is the An-12. An Avialeasing pilot from Uzbekistan was responsible for it, but when fs2.com stopped their free websites, it was gone. I was chatting to him a while ago about placing it on my own site (probably on aviatsiya.ru when it is ready to go).

I figured the newer stuff would be hard to find.

I was hoping that they would have neglected to copyright it. A lot of airline printed information isn't and that is usually what you find from these services that offer to sell manuals.

Any thoughts on the possiblity of finding a Yak 40 or 42 ops manual?

Yak-40 and Yak-42 manuals would be somewhat easier to find. But again, they will probably only be in Russian. Is that any good for you?

If you are serious about getting them, I can probably get one sourced for you from Russia, but would have to know what type of costs you have in mind.

Unfortuntaly I don't have a budget, so don't put a lot of effort into it.

I just spend half a months pays on air tools....Doh!!!

Thanks for the offer though.

I was actually hoping that somebody had something set up like, http://www.boeing-727.com/, that was available for browsing online.

I will ask my guy over there to check it out. Will only take him a phone call I am sure. Will let you know.

The only thing I have in English of the Tu-204-120 (RR engines) is a pre-flight checklist. I can scan that up for you if you like? Or can do a photocopy of it and mail to you. Just email me if interested.
