AC: "We're Not Going To Agree To Any Of This S--t

Mon May 05, 2003 10:58 pm

What is happening to the wonderful Canadadia civility? Sounds like the next few months will be marked by a difficult dialogue as AC struggles to emerge from bankruptcy. Will Milton fall on his sword 'a la Carty?' (pun intended).

"We're not going to agree to any of this s--t right away," said Dave Ritchie, Canadian general vice-president of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. "We're opposing immediate reductions without immediate ratification."

"Everything we have is ours," he continued. "Where are the reasonable demands they're asking of us?"
