Were These Liveries Already In The Making?

Fri May 09, 2003 3:59 pm

Saudi Arabian Airlines and TWA introduced new liveries right after their aircraft were involved in major accidents, so were these newidentities already in the making or came about due to the accidents? TW's lousy new livery looks like it was done in haste just for the heck of it, they really did'nt have to change it as their previous look was pretty good, SV needed the change.

What happened with a SV aircraft? Do you mean the thing in India?

Anyway, I don't think that this was the reason with SV since a new livery was really overdue for them.

Actually, TWA introduced their new livery prior to the flight 800 crash. I remember this clearly because they showed video of the replacement 747 they sent to Paris to bring back the passengers that would have travelled on the return leg of flight 800, and the aircraft was in new colors. I believe the new colors were introduced the fall prior to the crash.
