Sat May 10, 2003 9:03 pm

Can anyone list all the ailiners that are/were named Zurich/Zürich?
I know that KLM had a DC-9-30, Swissair had a 742 and 743 and Tyrolean had/has a CRJ.....
Thanks

I think I saw an American Airlines DC10-30 at ORD in 1992 with a Zurich sticker (the blue and white one) at the cargo door. American used to fly ORD to ZRH nonstop with 767-200ER's. AA38/37.

  • B747-357, HB-IGF, now flying as ZS-SKA for South African

  • DC-8-32, HB-IDC, last known operator: Thai Air [written off 10 May 1973 - KATMANDU, NEPAL]), previous reg: D-ADIR

Does anybody knows which exact KLM DC-9 was called Zurich? Was it a -32 series, which serial number and does it still flies somewhere?
Thanks

KLM had DC-9-32 PH-DNH (c/n 47131) called "Zurich". It is now operating for Aerocalifornia as XA-ADK
