Sat May 17, 2003 3:18 am

Do AZR have any routes to Europe or do they fly the odd peak-time charter? What routes are the 3 tristars flown on?
Thanks,Alex

They fly to BRU, I almost saw them there but unfortunately was the flight late.

Hi Alex,

The few times I saw it nightstopping, it was at Pier B (International departures). So at a gate, not at a remote stand.

ALX only operates one Tristar for the moment: 9Q-CHC. Ex-Delta.

The other one is being used as spare-parts plane.

You may want to be quick if you still want to get a picture of a Hewa Bora L-1011. The aircraft may not be around for much longer... Too expensive to operate and no backup aircraft. Like Flying Belgian said, they are using (canibalizing) one of their aircraft for spare parts but that won't last for ever.

I don't know how they are doing, but AFAK they have reduced their BRU-FIH frequency from twice to only once a week, although I don't know why.....

Hi A330DAT,

Don't be so desperate, maybe Ceilidh has some L1011's left to help ALX with spare parts  Big grin

Hi guys,

A bit off topic, but isn't Neil in custody at the moment ???  Big grin

About ALX, I sometimes see a 732 of them parked next to our A330 in FIH.
But the last time, the 732 had an oil leakage so we had our A330 moved... you can imagine how is life sometimes at N'djili Airport...!!!
