Two Small Plane Crashes In Ohio Recently

Sat May 17, 2003 5:56 am

Two different small planes have crashed in Ohio in the last week.

The first plane crashed near Toledo, OH, while on approach to Fulton County Airport. All three occupants of the plane were killed.

The second crash occurred yesterday near Lorain County Regional Airport (LPR). The pilot of a small cargo plane (looks like a Cessna 208) walked away after he made an emergency landing on a road and the plane flipped.

Up, up and away!

The one at Fulton County Airport (KUSE) crashed during 50 - 60kt gusting winds....I was at work at the time of this crash and it was tough for twins to land even though the wind was right down the runways....yet another crash in the area here....there have been quite a few of them around here lately (including GA incidents at nearby airports).
