777 Landing Gear

Fri May 23, 2003 6:44 pm

Looking at this pic, I was wondering what those wires around the Triple Seven landing gear are there for...
Can anybody explain?
It makes the landing gear appear so fragile.
Thanks for your help.

Those would be the brake hydraulic lines and also the electrical wiring harnesses for the anti-skid, brake temperature and other such sensors.

That's what I thought too. Given that the 777 has the unique feature of alternating between wheelsets while braking during taxiing.
