Air France Leases New Boeings

Sat May 24, 2003 11:36 pm

According to this week's Flight International, Air France has signed a deal with ILFC for 1 new 747-400, for delivery in March next year, and for 2 new 777-300ERs, for delivery in September 2004 and March 2005.

It seems AF is doing pretty well, things considering...

I would have thought that given the current state of US-French relationships that they would go for Airbus. Good for Boeing!!!!

When will Air France receive it's first 777-300ER? Does AF have any A340-500/600 on order as well?

April '04.

Nope, AF has no apparent interest in the A340NGs... but they do have A388s on order

"current state of US - French relations..." Who cares what the politicians are saying?

A good business decision is what matters. Politics and politicians have screwed up the world. No need to let them screw up a good airline like Air France. Congrats to Air France for the new Boeings.
