Funjet 757?

Sun May 25, 2003 1:37 am

Yesterday I was at ORD and while I was walking around the terminal I noticed a 757 at the international terminal that was painted like a Transmeridian 757 but on the tail it had a sun painted on it and on the side said Funjet vacations. I've searched the database and with no luck have found anything. Anybody know what I saw, and are there any pictures floating around in cyberspace that I might have missed?? Thank you in advance.

From http://www.funjet.com/partners/about.asp:

Funjet Vacations isn't an airline and we don't own any planes. We contract with charter airlines for the use of their aircraft to various destinations. We provide the passengers and the airline provides everything else that goes with your flight

Found one photo - not the same plane, obviously  Smile

I just saw this plane in CUN today when I was flying home. Yes Funjet is the tour operator who contracts with the charter carrier and in this case repainted a plane to promote the fact. Tho an interesting fact is that the former owner of Sun Country Airlines is the owner of Funjet vacations.

The airplane you saw belongs to Transmerdian Airlines.
I handle T9 in LAS , and that is the plane you saw.

Suprised that ATA hasn't painted a 752 or 738 with the amount Funjet charters that we do out of DFW, LAS, and MKE.
