TAP/CO Code Share

Fri May 30, 2003 11:05 am

Now that TAP and CO have announced plans to code-share, will either one of them drop EWR-LIS service? CO has a year-round 757 flight, TP has a year round A340 and A310 service.

I would not think so, CO did not drop their Paris flights when they had the AF code share.

They have actually expanded flying to AMS with the KLM codeshare, KLM flies a 747 daily to IAH while CO recently introduced a daily 777 from IAH-AMS.

NJ has a huge Portugese population, hence TP's consolidation at EWR from JFK. Tap has a large office building in down town Newark's Iron Bound district, off Ferry street near Penn Station.

Continental seems to be profiting on the Iberian peninsula the most of the US airlines since TWA quit there.
