Which airports have the least scheduled (passenger) flights?

I think there are a lot of airports with zero scheduled passenger flights. Actually too many to count.

Johnstown, PA JST has 5x daily flights from PIT 2 of which arrive from Altoona AOO just 10 minutes away by plane. It's ops by a B1900D.

The list of airports with 1-5 daily passenger flights will go on and on and on and on...Ft. Pierce, Florida is as low as you can get: one weekly scheduled passenger flight, a Saturday service to Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood on Florida Coastal Airlines.

Ft. Collins / Loveland, CO (FNL) currently has none. But, as of July 31st, it will have 4 weekly flights.

Mid America (BLV) has no schedule flights. It does have plenty of free parking right next to the brand new terminal.  Smile

Change Of Question

Fri Jun 06, 2003 7:05 pm

OK, change of question:

Of those airports that have a scheduled passenger service, which have the least services - but above zero?

LOL, I think there's a lot of airports out there with a single flight a week or day...

Add to that some seasonal airports (mainly near beach resorts) that only get a few charter flights a day for 2-3 months each year (and GA and business traffic only for the rest of the year).

Probably hundreds like that all over the world.

The worst valued airport has to be YMX. Picture this: this airport cost 500 millions $cdn to built, back in 1975. In today's dollars, that would be the equivalent of what, 5 billions? The airport now has 2 runways 3600 meters each, but has space to build 4 more. And it's a beauty.

Unfortunately, du to painful mismanagement and lack of vision, this airport, which was supposed to handle 25 millions pax this year, gets no more than 2-3 pax flights a day, mostly served by TS. A real shame...

I agree with you Qb001. But the airport still handle at least 1 million pax a year. The 2-3 departures a day are during very low season. YQB handles half of it. I agree that compared to the 25 million pax predicted.....today's numbers are nothing. There are still days during the high season that YMX handles 20+ flights (Air Transat, SkyService, Corsair and soon My Travel) to European and/or to Carribbean destinations.
