Seems like there's plenty of blame to go around on the subject of whether SR
caused the demise of SN
... or whether it was the other way around. Either way, they both went down together; SR
to resurface as Swiss and SN
as SNBrussels. Inasmuch as once well-managed SR
was myopic enough to take on the problems of troubled airlines (SN had turned a profit just once in 37 years, IW
was never more than marginal at best) I would place the heavier guilt on SR
who couldn't seem to resist the folly of forming an alliance as an end in itself.
