Delta To Reprint Paper Timetable Books?

Sat Jun 14, 2003 2:04 pm

I remember shortly after DL stopped printing the timetables someone on this site started a new topic and said the DL would resume printing the timetables.

1). Will Delta really start printing them again?
2). If so, When?

They have no need for them anymore, They have flight screens in all of the airports they serve, and those that don't do not have many flights anyway.

DL will indeed begin printing a streamlined timetable in August 2003.

Hello. I have a question that may be out of the topic.
I will be traveling with DL next month and when I bought the tickets they gave me an E-ticket. However, they only thing I received was the itinerary printed. Aren´t they supposted to give out a single ticket (the ones that look like boarding passes) for each leg you are flying? At least that´s what other airlines have given me before when buying E-tickets.
Thank you.

Alvaro, you get the boarding pass when you check in. You can check in online, if you have a Skymiles account, up to 24 hours in advance of your flight, and then go straight to the gate. If you have checked baggage, you can check in at the airport at either the computerized kiosk or the traditional line, and receive your boarding pass.

If you need another receipt for the ticket price or itinerary, you can get one printed out at the kiosk or the counter.

I wish the one thing that Delta would do with the checked baggage and home check-in is allow it to be dropped off curbside, like US Airways does. It is a convinence to use, but since I check baggage a lot, I can't always make use of the technology.

Jeff, that would be nice. Maybe the on-line check-in would allow you to note the number of bags, and when you go to the airport, a machine can scan your boarding pass and print your bag tags.

But the kiosk check-in allows checked bags and is also very fast and easy.

You can download the Delta timetable from their website as a pdf file and print it. The final product is virtually the same as their original paper timetable, except for the fact that you must supply your own paper and ink...

How can the new timetable be streamlined? The old one only had nonstop flights listed.

The old one contained all DL, DL Conx, and Skyteam partner nonstop flights and info. The new one will show only DL and DL Conx nonstop flights. Hence the streamlined version.

Thanks for the info. I will be looking for the paper timetable as it is easy to carry around in a briefcase since I do not have a palm.
