Biritish Airways In Kuala Lumpur

Sun Jun 15, 2003 5:50 am

According to KLIA's timetable, British Airways will operate a special flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bahrain, flight number BA 9197. Anybody care to provide more information about this flight? BA will depart from gate B063 (guess that's a remote stand) at 9 am, June 15.

I don't think that B is a remote stand. A gates are at the Domestic gates (lower level) at the "main terminal" and B gates are the upper level gates in the same "main terminal".

Government flights and others are mainly parked on the far right side (seen from the tower) where also small private jets and other VIP flights are parked (seen especially during F1 GP). Saw once a LOT 763 parked at a B gate.

But - B gates at KUL don't run into the 60s Swissgabe... so it may well be remote - anyway - presume it has already left - anyone know more about it?

Looking at BA's LHR movements - on the 11th June G-BYGC Boeing 747-436 flew to Dubai at 0456 as BA9185. I presume this flight went on to KUL and possibly further ?Oz and is now on its way back. Odd to stop in Mid-east?

I think the B gates (with stand) runs from B02 to B11. Does anyone know if gate C05 at the Satellite terminal is being used at all? I've never seen it in use before.

By the way, I can't seem to find an arrival for British Airways at KUL, only departure! Weird.

Swissgabe: I think they assign the far right remote stands as B**, and B63 might be one of them.
