AA 727"s.

Mon Jun 16, 2003 2:21 pm

Wanting to know what really replaced AA 727 fleet. If you look at it,the 737's really don't fly most of there old routes,at least here out of D/FW.For the most part super 80's and 757's are flying the routes.Just wondering if anyone knew what truely replaced them.

I guess in these times it depends on what routes got upgraded, stayed the same and downgraded.

At DTW, flights that used to be AA 727s such at DTW-MIA are 738s.

Perhaps with the slow economy a lot of former 727 routes are used by the MD-80

A lot of former 727 routes out of MIA are now flown with the 737-800, meanwhile a lot of 727 routes out of DFW and ORD are flown with the Super 80. There used to be a lot of routes out of RDU and BNA in the early 90's where the 727's were operated but these two hubs have been closed in the mid 90's.
