BA Concorde Flights Too Much..

Wed Jun 18, 2003 2:01 am

Im looking for a Concorde flight (the cheapest if possible) thats around the £1000 mark or lower, ive looked all over the net, and all i can find is Concorde flights WITH hotels and so on included.
How can i get a flight that doesnt include all the other items that costs it so much, and where can i get the price list from.
All i would like to do is fly Concorde there and take a 747 back, with nothing else included, can i do this and has anyone else tried.
Prices would be very helpful as ive worked my @ss off to get as much money as possible, i even had to sell all my music CD's, and flight sim games, and even my computer to get to £1000, and for Goodwood travel to say i need another £1000 just to stay overnight in a hotel is unbelieveable.
So any info would be muchly appreciated.

Thank You
Rob Lowton

Unfortunately at the moment you are not going to find a Concorde flight for anywhere near £1000. At the current prices there is enough demand to have every BA001/2 more or less full until the end of services, so I very much doubt BA will be making any major ticket price reductions.

The cheapest flight only price I could find with BA for any date was around £2500 for Concorde outbound and 747 World Traveller return.

Hopefully some cheaper ways to fly on Concorde will come up in the next few months, such as 'round the bay' LHR-LHR flights. Keep your eye on the excellent concordesst.com site for the latest news about any extra flights or offers.

Thanks Shamrock_747 the concordesst site is very useful and I will definitely keep an eye out for any cheap flights avaliable...
Do you think BA will do the LHR-LHR flights anymore?

September/October could be interesting, October likely to have LHR-LHRs, maybe some in September maybe.
But regular JFK flights stop at the end of September so October should be pretty clear for specials and celebrations.

Good luck on your quest. At this point in time, all flights are going at a premium with such little time left in the schecule. You aren't alone in looking to do what I did in 1996 - fly on an aircraft that is soon to go out of service.

I don't think Virgin is going to get them. But their attempt to do so is giving Sir Richard some EXCELLENT publicity!

in all seriousness, I think GDB probably has the best info. So hopefully you can take advantage of an LHR-LHR flight.
