Jumpseat Passenger Info

Wed Jun 18, 2003 3:49 am

I was wondering if there was any possibility of myself obtaining a Jumpseat on a aircraft operating out of EGCC, im not sure how to go about this with an airline, and who to speak to.
Id love to get a few cockpit shots, and any help would be appreciated.
Whilst on the subject, does anyone know what UK airline operate Cockpit trips to the flight deck, or have they stopped doing these, and if so which airlines do so.

Thank You
Rob Lowton

No chance, much as I wish it were otherwise. The CAA has banned in flight cockpit access to all but operating crew (and cabin crew bearing drinks and food!)

The days of jumpseat flights in the UK is long gone, I'm afraid.

No chance, I tried on BD in CAG and they didn't allow me due to security. But what is a 15yr old going to do  Confused. Its a shame because I would of loved too of been in a jumpseat, My mates dad organized the airline to fly to that destination for his travel group, even he couldn't persuade the pilot.

Here in Norway you must more and less know one of the guys in the cockpit. If you want to read about my last jump seat ride, go to the link under, and click on the picture that says "Jump seat ride in a Fokker 50". Sometimes jump seat ride comes along by pure coincidence.  Big thumbs up

Be careful how you ask. If your request to "see the cockpit" is misinterpreted as a hijack attempt, you could be in a world of trouble.
