The main deck lounge on AA
747s was in the aft cabin and, from what I have seen in pictures, quite spacious.
I flew on United and TWA 747-100s; both airlines had coach lounges in the front of the main cabin, between the no. 1 and no. 2 exits. I only remember large lighted globes fastened to the tables. These lounges were removed after the 1974 oil crisis. BTW, the TWA coach seats featured inflatable air cushions, which one could adjust (soft/firm) electronically with the touch of a button.
