The KLM Product...how Is It? (long Flights Today)

Thu Jun 26, 2003 9:39 pm

I am flying KLM from JFK-AMS [7.5h] (can somebody tell me the specific 74X version I am flying on?!) and AMS-JRO [8.5h] (on a 763ER). How would you compare the product of KLM to that of other airlines? Internationally, I have only flown on LY (in Y), CO (in F) and AF (in F) (by international I am referring to transatlantic flights only). I am flying in coach...thank you for any information provided!

Unless you're smaller than the average American, you will not enjoy the size of the seats on your airplane.

Hmm...I thought KLM was supposed to be one of the world's greatest airlines (in terms of route coverage and product)....

Crew are nice, friendly & professional and food is ok. Seat average. Most have adjustable headrests.

check www.airliners.net for details.

value for money very good in general

Don't know how about long haul, but the quality of the service on short haul is horrible...

A sandwich to ATH for example while other airlines serve a hot meal.

Excellent service and seats, at least on the 737 and 747 (haven't flown the other for long enough to be able to tell).

Would fly them any day if their prices weren't a lot higher than other airlines on most routes.
I wish I were flying

Dreadful... Not comfortable, marginal/iffy food and service. I wouldn't fly KLM long haul again except as a last resort.
