WI Gives Midwest $4 Million In Support

Fri Jun 27, 2003 6:51 pm

From today's Journal Sentinel:

Well good news I guess: The state of WI is giving Midwest $4 million. (not cash, but some kind of collateral grant). I'm still fairly pessimisstic about their future but this may allow them to linger longer than previously thought.

Nonetheless, Chapter 11 is probably coming very soon!

I can't think of any other airline that get's as much community support as Midwest. Not just in grants like this, but in terms of loyalty. I just hope they can pay it back! (and eventually kill that idiotic "saver airline" they came up with).

I know in these trying times it is best to save money and such, Midwest is now so different than from what they once where and in what they offered service wise, now charging for food! They should retrench and do what they can to save money, tho I feel they should come to a happy medium and have the goal of being at least something similar to what they once were. And get rid of the saver flights! Do not try to be all things to all people.
