the silly thing is - although I am in EuroTraveller later today (can't expect all my friends to sit in Club for a weekend break) - I often fly Club and the rewards are still extremely poor with BA
. I switched to KLM for all my med & long-haul flights and have sped my way through their tiers since - but as I said - living near LGW
often leaves me with little choice but to continue to fly BA
for ease and scheduling for short-haul flights.
Common-sense would determine that partners on the same booking ought to be seated together (its not rocket-science) but in effort to try to please - BA
are constantly shooting themselves in the foot instead.
At least - I'm not the only Exec Club member that feels very much a second (well actually third theoretically) class citizen in their Club.
btw - got a text from a couple of friends flying in and connecting onto our flight - guess what - neither of them were seated together (despite being booked together) for the Madrid flight - but they managed to rectify the situation - as they are Exec Club members - but could not get seats close to anyone else in the group!!! (Just as well we checked)
Perhaps we ought to try for admission into their awful Club Lounge later today - entourage in tow (perhaps after a few drinks and rehearsals of football chants)
