Help With UA 744 Fleet #s

Sat Dec 11, 1999 4:48 pm

Hi. I need some help looking for an "N" number on a United 747-400 aircraft. I am flying on one in 6 days, and looked up the UA cargo webpage to find out what aircraft they plan on flying for the route. They give me aircraft Fleet # 8491. Any UA 747 experts know what that corresponds to as an "N" number?

Thanks.
Want to see if they are accurate.

Hi. I flew on N191UA last week DEN-ORD. Nice aircraft! What is your departure city and departure date? I can look up your flight in the computer at work to verify the aircraft #. I will be able to tell you 3 days before departure which aircraft you will be flying on.

Hi. My flight is on Thursday morning. Chicago-Las Vegas as UA 701. Did you manage to get a peak at the First or Business Class sections? I'm hoping to get upgraded into one of those classes of service. Also, was coach nice? ie any TV screens at every seat, and did it have the nice, new seats where your headrest can twist to mould into your head. ie is this an old or new 744? Thanks for all the help. Where did you fly it from / to?

The JP Airline Fleets book has the fleet numbers listed. If you know the type of aircraft and the fleet number, it's very easy to find out the N-number. For example UA # 5062, which is a 757, is N562UA. The777Man

Where did you happen to find the fleet # on United Cargo's site?

Flyf15, go to www.ualcargo.com/

Then Flight Information

Then flight status

Then all you do is type in your future flight number, and the date of travel (I think a week in advance is all they plan ahead for). It's really neat and useful for reg-crazy people.
