Following the final agreement on amending the bilateral between the Gulf Air member states and India on Friday, Gulf Air has been cleared to commence services to the Indian city of Kochi from July 15.
Flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from Abu Dhabi to Kochi with a 2-class Airbus 320. The flight will originate in Bahrain prior to the stop in Abu Dhabi and will terminate there on the return from India as well. Ground handling will be provided by Air India.
Gulf Air joins Emirates, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways, Silk Air, Sri Lankan, Saudia Arabian and Qatar Airways as the 8th international carrier here. Air India and Indian Airlines also operate internationally from Kochi.
