As far as I am aware the TUI order is still expected later in the year and I don't think this is it.
Airbus is preferred for longhaul (A332). Shorthaul therefore, A320/321 would fit nicely, but for capacity required for UK ops (BY) the A321 would be necessary and that doesn't work @ LBA
for a start.
The Boeing downside is that the 767-400 won't make LGW
with a full load without stopping for fuel
and so a 737NG / 764 fleet won't work either.
In the short term I can see the BY
operation getting A330-200s for longhaul and keeping a 752/763 shorthaul mix for now.
Time will tell. Still preparing myself for a conversion to sidestick though...
