MCO Summer Vs Winter

Sat Jul 12, 2003 11:05 am

Well I have lived down in Orlando now a couple of months and have seen the summer flights.

What kind of stuff do we see in Winter down here?

What charters fly here in winter that dont in summer?

Do the majors fly in larger aircraft?

At MCO no huge visible difference, a few more narrowbody Canadian Charter flights, usually in hybrid/lease colors.

SFB is the main European Charter market and is out of your main line of visibility, but less busy than summer.

Around the holidays you'll see Ad Hoc Charter's bringing bands, etc., into MCO to the various venues around town.

Keep looking out of the window  Smile

Bands as in rock bands? Wouldnt they fly into Executive?

I thought maybe around the holidays- Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter there would be more flights or larger planes by airlines such as AA, Continental, UA etc and that maybe more charter flights would come in like Transmeridian, Apple Vacations, Ryan etc.

I know for a fact Apple Vacations flew into MCO last winter with a wet-leased JMC 757 and A320.
Change is: one airline, six continents!

CO will add a couple more frequencies to EWR and add more 757-300s to that route, during the Winter all EWR-CO / KMCO), USA - Florida">MCO flights on CO are either 757-200s or 757-300s.
Eastern Air lines flt # 701, EWR-MCO Boeing 757
