German media are reporting that the low cost carriers of Lufthansa, SAS and British Midland, namely germanwings, bmiBaby and snowflake will form a kind of alliance.
Apparently, these airlines realised passengers are starting to build connexions on their own, so they decided to take advantage of it and rather promote a germanwings/bmiBaby connexion than risking the passenger taking a Ryanair flight instead.
The plans for cooperation include:
- interline connexion tickets, including check-through baggage
- mutual access to reservation systems
- exchange of crews (and possibly aircraft)
