NWA A330 To SEA, The First Ever?

Sun Jul 20, 2003 11:16 am

Here is a shot I grabbed:

Is this the first ever A330 to Seattle? I believe it is...

I've seen the 319's here in YYC in the new colors and they look pretty sharp. But this is even better, too bad we will probably never see it in YYC...fingers crossed for a diversion on a day I work!

Although no scheduled airline fly certain aircraft on a route, sometimes private and royals who use that type can visit a city. It doesn't happen often, so it can slip up on you. For example in Pittsburgh we never had an A340 until 4 May 2002 when my brother got his B.A. and Queen Rania of Jordan came to speak at his graduation.

Don't know about non-airline operators of the A330, or SEA for that matter, but those are your variables to take into consideration.

By the way, you sure are on top of those hot pictures, always there to capture the moment. Keep up the good work!  Big thumbs up

Each time I see that new CS I like it more and more. I remember when the old one was the new one and I thought that was a departure from the old one, well this one is WAY better.

Any chance they will fly the NW A330 down to MCO while waiting for ETOPS certifications?

No. And only NWA employees and their familes will be able to fly it before it enters transatlantic service on 9-2 (DTW-AMS).

It may be the first A330 in a while, it's not the first into SEA. I recall seeing a couple Airtours 330s going in 2 or 3 years ago (used to live downtown and spent a great deal of time on the balcony with binoculars).

Gorgeous photo Royal. If the planes are landing from the north at SEA, I can see some on approach over Bothell from my office window. I will keep my eyes peeled for this one!

Sorry to hear about your job loss...I will be joining you on the unemployment line in the near future...I hate being a freakin' statistic.
But that was when I ruled the world

Damm NW for bringing the A333 into Seattle! It sure looks sweet but honestly I thought I would never seen an Airbus A330 in Seattle! I hated it when SAS started A340-300 flights into SEA now we have NW flying the A330.

Nice perk of having a good camera and photography skill: you can take a nice clear picture of just about anything!

House isn't looking too bad by the way, cute little kiddies got a nice place to play, it really sucks to be out of a job--I know how it feels too.

Thanks  Smile

It's actually in lower Kennydale. Or, Renton-by-the-water as my friends in Seattle say.

Well since it seems all of our airlines are going Airbus there won't be much to photograph at Renton anymore!
The NW A330 has even invaded the homeland, so to say!!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

New link to this shot:

The link at the top of the thread does not work anymore, but the good news is, the picture was accepted into the database!

Firings, if well done, are good for employee morale.

I know how you like those Airbuses, Royal. Hope to see NW's new livery before long when I get to LGW, or maybe even AMS.

Nice house, but was disappointed not to see the VW outside  Smokin cool

Best for the future,

Ray

Dammm Kennydale...........that is where I am always stuck in traffic on I-405 in my morning commutes! They really need to make I-405 wider in that area.

It's a good area though. You must have good access to Kolwaan Beach.
