The Third DL 772ER For ATL-NRT?

Mon Jul 21, 2003 10:03 am

While I know that N861DA and N867DA will/have receive(d) the overhead crew compartments making possible their new extended range transpac flights.... has DL yet earmarked the third aircraft to receive the conversion before the flights [finally] switch to twinjet service?

Actually, 7008 will not be converted with the crew rest (at least it's not scheduled for conversion yet). 7001 & 7003 are next in line for conversion at TIMCO.
This plane is built to withstand anything... except a bad pilot.

Won't these three planes have 3-3-3 seating in coach, after the conversions?

7002 is the only aircraft with the overhead crew rest so far.

7008 has the mods in place to install the crew rest, but the actual module has not been installed.
