True story !!!

Sun Dec 27, 1998 3:29 pm

On the night from 24 to 25 December, a Monarch flight was crossing portuguese airspace at high altitude, when the pilot report to ATC:

"Lisbon, I have to report, about 20 miles ahead of me, I can see Santa Claus descending.

You can advise the children of your country that Santa Claus is arriving"

This is true, I hear it on my scanner 125.55 Mhz.

That is a cool story I would say something like that but not to ATC but the passengers.

Glad to see you're back! Iainhol, remember my idea of a camera facing out the cockpit? That would be so cool if they zoomed in on santa with the camera and put it on the video entertainment systems in the aircraft :-)

A couple of days before his annual flight Santa was out preflighting his sled. A man walks up to him and says, "Sir I need to see you license< I am an inspector with the FAA". Santa tries to explain to him he has been doing these flight for nearly 2000 years and that where he comes from they don't issue licenses. Finaly the man says, "If you want to fly in the US then I am going to have to give you a flight check to see if you know the rules and such." Santa agrees, not wanting to disapoint all of the American kids. As soon as he has the eight reindeer lashed up to the sleigh the FAA inspectors returns but this time he is carring a big rifle. "What are you going to do with that?," Santa asks. "I can't tell you it is part of the check." The inspector says."No, we aren't going anywhere untill you tell me what you are going to do with that gun." Santa replies

"Allright on takeoff you are going to lose an engine." Was the inspectors reply.
