China Eastern A320 @ Naples Italy

Sat Jul 26, 2003 6:39 pm

Early this morning (26 July) a China Eastern A320 landed at Naples, Italy. It carried the French reg'n F-WWII and a number (which I forgot) right above it. I suppose it was there on a demonstration flight. Can anybody confirm?

That's what I thought at first. But why Italy? An empty 320 can go much further without refuelling. I think it is more likely to be a demonstration flight by Airbus to some Italian customer.

It would have the B-6001,2,3,5 etc if its on the delivery flight.

Remember they have sent A320's to spain for repainting before, I remember seeing 2 ex China Northwest A320's repainted down there.
