The CASM figures are cents, not dollars!!!
Here are a few data points I have collected recently...(year ending 2002, average for the year).....
Airtran: 9.33 (2001)
A good place to find this information is the individual airline's Annual Report, or better still, for airlines whose stock is traded on US exchanges, look in their SEC filings. (They are on their websites under "Investor Relations", usually in the "About Us" section.) The annual 10-K (I think) filing contains a uniform reporting format and is this data is always found in Section 6. The annual reports, on the other hand, are full of fluff and this data is harder to find and extract. Airlines outside the US are very variable in the type of data they provide in their respective annual reports. As I recall, KLM provides very good data, while Aeroflot is provides virtually nothing.
