OK, but tell me, did you ever have a full plane on return flights? What was the average turnaround time at these airports? I would think it'd have to be a day because islands such as Truk have an average population of 50,000.
I live in a city with 50,000 people and we don't get so much as a DC-9 here, but I know why-
(1) Pocatello is not a big tourist destination
(2) Most of Pocatello's people drive to SLC, so our airport is virtually unused except for Horizon and Skywest.
(3) Pocatello is not warm in winter
So I'd imagine you'd have a close to full plane going to these islands, but on the return flight, even if it was the next day, it'd be more like half full or less. Am I correct?
Now, let's see, do all your Micronesian flights go through Guam or HNL?
If so that's a good technique for filling a plane, but what if you had DIRECT flights?
What would that do to your revenue?
BTW, 738, good choice of aircraft!
CO is now one of my favorite airlines, next to Southwest, perfect for a screwball like me!
So thanks for any info you give me!
