Victorville Access

Mon Aug 04, 2003 2:43 am

I know this has been discussed before, but I am unable to find the link when searching for it. I may be headed near the Victorville CA. area in a week or two. Is it possible to get a tour of the boneyard and take pictures? Who would I need to call? Where can I get directions to get to the field? Thanks for any info.

If Victorville is an active field, I don't think you'll have much luck getting in for a look see.
Yes, I actually *do* work for an airline, how about you?

NO access at Victorville... If you want to take photos, go to Mojave instead.

Where is Mojave and what type of access is allowed? What type of aircraft are stored there? How far from SNA is it? Thanks for all your answers.

You can get nice pics from a hill that overlooks the scrapping area. I was there last month and got some nice ones, except for the heat haze - but it was 110 degrees. Not too many descent pics are available anywhere else - at least that I know of. I will probably go back later this year when I go to LA.

Here's what to see:
