Martinair MD-11 At FLL

Wed Aug 06, 2003 4:39 am

Just landed 2 mins ago (1535 EDT) at FLL. I assume a diversion from Miami. From my office in downtown Ft Lauderdale I can see the Miami skyline clearly.

It's storming a little but I didn't think it was that bad. Can anyone shed any light?

I really don't know what that's doing there.
Is it a pax or cargo??
The MP 0645/0646 AMS-MIA-AMS is operated with 767 today

Not sure, could be cargo. Came in on 27R. Grabbed the binoculars but didn't catch whether there were "Cargo" titles, and it doesn't appear to be parked at the cargo facility. Looked like it was headed back towards the terminal.

I think it's a cargo flight.
MP 0067 to Miami - Mexico - Bogota left Amsterdam 11:47 AM, nearly two hours ahead of schedule on Aug 05. It is operated with MD-11...  Smile
edit: diverted to FLL for some reason

The weather here never got too bad, it rained for a short while, but there was alot of thunder and lightning.
